You don’t have to travel, wear the latest gym gear or even remember to bring your locker key. You’re not tied down to expensive gym memberships and you will have the benefit of 1-1 supervision and guidance throughout each session providing you with support, encouragement and motivitation to reach your goals.


Forget spending most of your hard-earned, precious work out time pounding the treadmill trying to hit that elusive ‘fat burning zone’ and focus on building full body strength by varying the intensity of exercises that get the heart rate elevated in a fraction of the time. By combining cardiovascular and strength exercises using just your own body weight and free-weights the body becomes LEAN and lean muscle BURNS MORE CALORIES, increases the bodys metabolism and BURNS FAT MORE QUICKLY - and isn’t that just what you want?!


So, whether you want to lose weight, change your body shape, tone up or simply improve your health and general wellbeing, I can help by designing you an individual programme. It will consist of effective exercises and associated nutritional advice, which will help you to reach your goals. From the comfort and privacy of your own home surroundings I will support, encourage and motivate you to acheive the body shape and confidence you want. About Cathy Dunn

I am 52 years of age and a Level 3 Personal Trainer with a wealth of lifetime experiences of yo-yo dieting and following every exercise plan from Rosemary Conley to Joe Wicks. I have spent a small fortune on gym memberships over the years where I started out enthusiastically after being shown around by lycra-clad supermodels with aspirations of having a body like theirs only to lose motivation by not getting the results I wanted. Alas my gym membership card was never to see the light of day again until I was enticed back by the next latest offer where the cycle would inevitably start all over again. Looking back I realise that, left to my own devices I wasn’t very good at following a well intentioned but generic programme of exercise that either didn’t suit my style of training or wasn’t ever progressed as my fitness improved. So it was with some trepidation I sought the services of a Personal Trainer. At last, this is when I got the results I wanted! However, although the trainers available to me were well knowledged, well mannered and motivational, they were also all great big body building blokes who wanted me to become the next body building bird! Whilst I’m all about pushing myself and challenging my body to become fitter, I found it increasingly difficult to find a Personal Trainer who was (1) somewhere close to my age range, (2) was a realist when it came to fitting in my fitness regime around running a home and holding down a job and (3) didn’t plan a programme that involved me miserably failing at attempting to lift three times my own body weight by session number 4!

So that’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and train to become a Personal Trainer who can bridge the gap between ‘the young and the fit’ and ‘the not so young and the not so fit’. I provide busy, normal shaped people with an alternative to getting and keeping fit and healthy without the expense, fear and intimidation of a large inpersonal gym. I can relate to your real life challenges because I’ve faced them all myself. By exercising with you within the confines of your own home surroundings, I can build you a programme which is specifically designed around your lifestyle, your commitments and your goals.

As well as CPD’s (Continued Personal Development awards) in Group Training, Strength & Conditioning, Kettle Bell Training and Boxing & Padwork, I also hold additional qualifications including Exercise Adaptations for Ante & Postnatal Ladies and GP Exercise Referral which helps people with medical conditions such as Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Athma/COPD, Back Pain, Stress, Anxiety & Depression. I am currently studying to acheive the Level 4 Personal Training award specialising in Physical Activity & Weight Management for Overweight and Diabetic Clients.  

I am registered with REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) which is soon to be merged with CIMPSA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).  I also hold Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
